Designing a new mobility experience for intracity travel
Challenge
Californian mobility startup Intuitive Motion sought out to expand their product portfolio in the domain of personal electric vehicles. With this in mind, the design team explored a focus on reducing phone distractions, enabling goal driven travel while still enjoying the biking journey.
This project was first initiated as a part of a master course Joint Master Project at the Delft University of Technology and led to subsequent product development of the navigation system.

Final concept: Kolibri
The Kolibri - is a combination of an adjustable e-bike and an intuitive navigation system. It aims to seamlessly personalize and navigate the user’s daily commute through enabling the user to adjust the way they travel according to their schedule, feeling or a specific situation. The electric bike allows the user to travel either in a focused or a relaxed mode. In order to fully experience these two different modes, the user’s posture is adjusted through a changeable frame, the user is supported by a simplified navigation system and an intuitive electronic battery support.
